Two of the new staffers, Joan Chase and Jeffrey Weston Sleasman, joined the civic collaborative on May 15. The third, Angelica Dandridge, started Monday, June 5. Fund president Bethia Burke said the three have 'deep familiarity with core issues' of advancing equitable economic growth.

Chas Withers has been named chairman of the board, in addition to continuing in the CEO role. Chairman Scott Chaikin, meanwhile, will become chairman emeritus and will retain his position as a board member, while president Lisa Rose was elected as a board member.

DJ Effler, the mortgage banking and brokerage concern's president, will become CEO on July 1, as predecessor Ned Huffman becomes a special adviser.
